This vintage metal bowl - set on its own stepped pedestal base - has the kind of patina that takes decades to develop. The tarnish across the bowl and base isn't a flaw to apologise for, it's the whole story. Every dark spot and worn edge is evidence of a life well lived, and now it has a new one.
Hand-poured with our Velvet Tonka fragrance and three cotton wicks, it makes a generous, striking centrepiece - on a mantelpiece, a coffee table or a sideboard alongside other collected pieces.
The Vessel
A wide, shallow metal bowl measuring approximately 15cm wide and 10cm tall, sitting on a stepped circular pedestal base with a warm two-tone finish - the bowl deeply tarnished to a dark pewter tone, the base faded to a softer antique gold. The combination gives it a genuinely aged, found-object quality that no new candle vessel could replicate. Once the wax has burned down, use it as a trinket bowl, a display piece, a small planter or simply enjoy it for what it is - a beautiful old thing with good bones.
The Scent - Velvet Tonka
Velvet Tonka opens with aromatic lavender and armoise for a fresh, herbaceous lift. A heart of soft orris and warming cinnamon adds quiet depth, before rich tonka bean, smooth vanilla and golden amber bring the whole thing home in a warm, velvety embrace. Sophisticated and inviting - the perfect balance of fresh, spicy and comforting. Exactly the kind of scent this vessel deserves.

Hand-poured with our signature blend of soy, coconut and rapeseed wax across three cotton wicks, giving a generous, even burn pool across the full width of the bowl.

After the Flame
Clean out any remaining wax with warm water and repurpose the bowl and stand however suits you best. It's survived this long - it'll outlast the candle easily.
Due to the vintage and repurposed nature of this vessel, heavy tarnishing, patina and minor marks are very much part of its character and should be expected. Each piece is unique. Measurements are approximate.
